At the summit of Mauna Kea, an array of antennae
Somewhere among them your ancestor the slave,
Also your ancestors the thief the prince the stranger.
Each particle a thread of crazed pilgrim life
Passing as one tortoise mount pauses to tread
The emanation of a dead star still alive
And afire, back when the astral procession began.
Everybody by descent the outcome of a rape.
Everybody also the outcome of a great love
Ruth, Holofernes, Sappho, Abélard, mostly

Poem "Procession" by Robert Pinsky from "At the Foundling Hospital" published by Farrar Straus Giroux / New York 2016
I will extend peace to her like a river
and the glory of the Gentiles
like a flowing stream.
✝️
They are always kissing, they can't
control themselves
It is not possible
that any creature can have greater instincts
and perceptions than the
mature human
mind.
God
ripened me.
So I see it is true:
all objects in existence are
wildly in
love.
