Coleridge's "Christabel"
...
And see! the lady Christabel
Gathers herself from out of her trance;
Her limbs relax, her countenance
Grows sad & soft; the smooth thin lids,
Close on her eyes; and tears she sheds --
Large tears that leave her lashes bright!
And oft the while she seems to smile
As infants at a sudden light!
Yea, she doth smile, and she doth weep,
Like a youthful hermitess,
Beauteous in the wilderness,
Who praying always, prays in sleep.
And, if she moves unquietly,
Perchance, 'tis but the blood so free
Comes back and tingles in her feet.
No doubt, she has a vision sweet.
What if her guardian spirit 'twere
What if she knew her mother near?
But this she knows, in joys and woes,
That saints will aid if men will call:
For the blue sky bends over all!

Peniel
When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob's hip so that his hip wrenched as he wrestled with the man.
Then the man said, "Let me go for it is daybreak."
But Jacob replied, "I'll not let you go unless you bless me."
The man asked him, "What is your name?" "Jacob" he answered.
Then the man said, "Your name will no longer be Jacob but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome."
Jacob said, "Please tell me your name." But he replied, "Why do you ask my name?" Then he blessed him there.
So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying
The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel and he was limping because of his hip.

I Love Your Church, O God
I love Your church, O God,
on earth Your blest abode,
the people our Redeemer saved
with His own precious blood.
I love Your church, O God,
whose walls before You stand,
dear as the apple of Your eye,
and graven on Your hand.
In love my tears shall fall,
in love my prayers ascend,
to serve Your church
my toils be given,
till toils and cares shall end.
Beyond my highest joys,
I prize your people's ways,
the sweet Communion,
solemn Vows,
the Hymns of Love & Praise.
Sure as Your Truth shall last,
to Zion shall be given
the brightest glories earth can yield
and brighter bliss of heaven.

Love Letter from Christ
Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you're a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Eleanor Agnes Lee (1841 - 1873): "A Statue in a Garden"
I was a goddess ere the marble found me.
Wind, wind delay not!
Waft my spirit where the laurel crowned me!
Will the wind stay not?
Then tarry, tarry, listen, little swallow!
An old glory feeds me
I lay upon the bosom of Apollo!
Not a bird heeds me.
For here the days are alien. Oh, to waken
Mine, mine, with calling!
But on my shoulders bare, like hopes forsaken,
The dead leaves are falling.
The sky is gray and full of unshed weeping
As dim down the garden
I wait and watch the early autumn sweeping.
The stalks fade and harden.
The souls of all the flowers afar have rallied.
The trees, gaunt, appalling,
Attest the gloom, and on my shoulders pallid
The dead leaves are falling.

To the Angels, the Prophet Joel & to me
Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! The day of the LORD is here!
Then they will know that I, the LORD your GOD dwell in Zion, My holy mountain. Jerusalem will be holy and no foreigners will never ever pass through her again.

Faith & Mountains
Jesus says today: Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to these mountains, ' Move from here to there ' and they will move.
Nothing is impossible for you.

Juana
"El Caballo Blanco"
Lo vi pasar tan raudo que diria
Que dos alas alzaban la montura,
Que no era un animal, sino la paura
Base de un angel con el que el corria.
Centella, espuma, nieve y elegia,

light green
I came with many knots in my heart,
like the magician's rope.
You undid them all at once.
I see now the splendor of the Student
and that of the Teacher's art.
Love and this body sit inside your presence,
one demolished, the other drunk.
We smile. We weep. Tree limbs
turning sere, then light green.

Juana
